Cheap Eats in Las Vegas

Cheap Eats Las Vegas

Tacos and Pizza and Desserts, Oh My!

Food in Las Vegas is often an overwhelming and sometimes unexpected expense. Restaurants in Sin City know you have to eat, and on The Strip they’ve got you right where they want you. However, with a little research beforehand, and our guide for Cheap Eats, you can eat in Vegas on budget with no problem.

24 Hour

Peppermill Las Vegas

“As Vegas As Vegas Gets”

The Peppermill describes itself as “timeless,” and they’re right. This centrally located eatery has been highlighted in various films over the years and maintains a certain Vegas charm. Two of their most well known featured drinks are The Scorpion, their 64oz signature cocktail and The Coronarita, a 7oz bottle of Corona dunked upside down in a margarita. The menu at Peppermill is large and in charge with what seems like endless options for diners. Ham and eggs, Steak and eggs, Crab Cake Bene, 10 different kinds of omelettes, pancakes, waffles…everything. If you’re going on a REAL shoestring budget – try their happy hour between 3-6 pm and 9-11 pm when everything is half off and nothing, food or drink, is over $8.00.

Tacos

Taco Y Taco

Mariachi Monday, Taco Tuesday

If you’re in Sin City on a Tuesday, you need to head to Taco Y Taco for their all day Taco Tuesday. $2 al pastor or chicken street tacos, $2 flour cheese quesadilla, $3 beers and $5 tequila shots. An authentic, inexpensive bite to eat for next to nothing.

Tacos & Beer

“We’re Serious About Our Food”

Fish, shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, veggie or vegan, Tacos & Beer has a wide variety of tacos to choose from. Ranging from $2.70 – $4.15 per taco, it is easy to load up at T&B without breaking the bank. If you want to get a little more spendy, the rest of their menu is filled with quesos, nachos, burritos, ceviche and enchiladas. As of today they have 19 beers available, but that changes and is updated at least once a week.

Pizza

Evel Pie

“Live Hard, Ride Fast, Eat Pizza”

Evel Pie is for good people who like good pizza from good people who like good pizza. Got it? Their $4 cheese slices (or $4.50 for a pepperoni slice) please every time. True pizza lovers will have trouble leaving this place once they step inside and they won’t have to, at least until 2 am when Evel Pie closes.

Five50

“550 Degree Perfection”

If Evel Pie is a bit too casual for you, try Five50 Pizza inside the Aria Hotel and Casino Resort. It is definitely going to be more expensive, but you can book a table on their website and be served James Beard Award-winning Chef Shawn McClain’s very own brand of East Coast-style pie. They’ve got salads, hummus, pork belly, calamari, a mozzarella bar and even shakes and floats alongside their 8 signature pizza pies. If you go for lunch (M-F 11:30 am – 4 pm) you can get a two course meal for $18 – your choice of either a soup or salad and pork neck mafalda (pasta) or a personal signature pizza.

Bakery

Paris Baguette

“Bonjour!”

Paris Baguette has many locations on the West Coast, but none quite as lovely as the one inside the Venetian in Las Vegas. Paris Baguette has fresh bread baked daily, gourmet sandwiches and pastries that will make a francophile’s heart melt. Sandwiches range from $7.50 – $9.95 and for dessert you can grab some fruit pastry bites, macarons or a slice of any blueberry chiffon cake, chocolate chiffon cake or blueberry yogurt cake.

Sprinkles ATM

“The World’s First Cupcake Bakery”

Sprinkles pushes the term “Bakery” to the limit. They not only bake fresh cupcakes and cookies daily, they also serve their own brand of ice cream. And one of the best things Sprinkles has ever done was introduce the world to the Cupcake ATM. These ATMs are open 24 hours outside select Sprinkles locations, including Las Vegas, Nevada! Anytime, day or night, you can walk right up to the Cupcake ATM, make your selection (a Red Velvet cupcake will cost $4.00), and swipe your card for payment. Once approved your cupcake will appear in the window in a cute little box.
