Hempsters across the nation will be celebrating with a variety of events, but if you are in the North West you are in luck. Some of the most fun and engaging hemp history events will be taking place in Oregon and Washington. Follow along with our top ten list to find a hemp-tastic event near you!
1. PDX Hempfest Expo
Formerly known as the Oregon Hemp Convention, this expo will be taking place at the Portland Expo Center this year. On June 10th from 8am to 8pm you are invited to relish in everything hemp. Choose from live demos, many exhibits, and an investors forum as you make your way through one of the largest hemp expos of the week. You will be surrounded by other hempsters and fellow industry experts, which makes for an excellent networking opportunity. Learn about growing and check out tons of new industry solutions as well. 2. Farmers Market Hempfest

The Seattle farmers market is always a fun day excursion, but especially during Hemp History Week. Join local vendors on June 8th for tasty organic foods, live bands, and plenty of hemp information. There will be many tables full of resources available to market goers and as always, the best selection of local vendors. Bring the whole family for a day full of sun, fun, and hemp!
3. Central Co-op Hemp History Week

If you live in the Seattle area you may be familiar with the Central Co-op natural food grocery store. This year for Hemp History Week the organic based market is hosting a week of hemp based products. Test out new, delicious hemp foods and shop for your weekly needs responsibly. From June 5th to the 10th gather at the Hemp Seed store in Harbor, Washington for a Hemp History Week open house event that you won’t want to miss! Known for their friendly and knowledgeable staff as well as vast variety of glass and eccentric products, the Hemp Seed is the perfect gathering ground for a hemp history crash course. Take part in product samplings, enjoy live music, and watch some hemp related films. There will be an easily approachable information booth and take advantage of deep discounts throughout the store while you’re in!
5. Industrial Hemp in Washington State and Across America!

Head to New Freeway Hall in Seattle, Washington on June 5th for an evening of hemp education. Renowned and knowledgeable speakers including president of the Washington State chapter of the Hemp Industries Association, Joy Beckerman. Learn about every aspect of industrial hemp and rub elbows with many kinds of hempsters. Networking with farmers, investors, marketers, amateurs alike will most definitely be the highlight of the evening. The event will run from 5pm to 7pm and include a variety of topics. Current United States laws, overview of products that can be produced with hemp, and infrastructure needs will all be discussed.
6. Olympia Food Co-op Hemp History Week Celebration

The Olympia Food Co-op is known for their variety of healthy, responsibly sourced foods and welcoming environment. For all of Hemp History Week this year let them welcome you to come learn about the all of the wonderful ways hemp can be utilized. Informational and educational tables will be set up to showcase and allow sampling of some hemp products. Hemp foods will be highlighted at this event. Both the eastside and westside locations will be involved in this occasion, so there’s no reason to miss out!
7. Bringing Hemp Back Webinar

In preparation for Hemp History Week Plus CBD Oil will be hosting an interactive webinar. This free event will be taking place on May 31st at 10am Pacific time, Noon Central time, and 1pm Eastern time. The online seminar will be available for free to people across the country. The main focus will be on the uses and education of CBD oil, which is derived from the hemp plant. Listen in as experts in the field walk you through all of the CBD oil basics. 8. The 420 Games Portland

Spend Saturday June 10th at Sellwood Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon. This healthy and cannabis centered event will start with a 4.20-mile course that you can choose to take on at your own pace. Run, walk, skate, or SUP to the beer tasting destination! Educational speakers, music, and stand-up comedians will all be on hand to provide entertainment for the day. 9. Hempfest Central

This event is the perfect mix of everything hemp! Partake in cooking classes, test out skincare products, and try your hand at some hemp crafts as you meander through Hempfest Central. The festivities will happen from Wednesday to Sunday during Hemp History Week and have varying hours. There will also be plenty of educational opportunities and even some samples for you to test out! 10. Cliff Thomason Speaking at Hempfest

Hempfest in Portland will be full of tons of great speakers, Cliff Thomason is one to certainly not miss! He brings year of knowledge and experience in the hemp industry from running the Oregon Hemp Company. Cliff is the first farmer to legally plant hemp in Oregon in over 70 years. He is involved both politically and in the community with many hemp related activities, and brings all his experience to Hempfest this year. Listen to Cliff tell his story and spread awareness and knowledge about hemp and the hemp industry in an engaging talk.
