San Francisco is home to some of the country’s most recognizable and iconic landmarks and attractions. Enjoying a bowl (and a nice buzz) is a MUST when it comes to exploring the unique historical attractions this city has to offer. So, to begin your journey, let’s start with what might be the city’s most recognizable landmark.
1) Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge is perhaps the most unmistakable bridge in the world, recognizable from the dozens of times it has been featured in movies and television. But how many people do you know who have actually smoked a bowl, a blunt, or a joint on the actual Golden Gate Bridge!? If you LIVE in San Francisco, the answer could be a LOT. However, if you’re just visiting San Fran, you might not know too many people from your hometown who have made the voyage to the west coast and blazed on the famous bridge. That’s reason enough for me! Get lit and start clicking the camera, the Golden Gate Bridge will be the most memorable part of your journey, guaranteed!
2) Lombard Street
This famous street is a must see for first time visitors to San Francisco. It is a quick, fun and touristy thing to experience while you’re in town. Well known for being steep with hair pin, zig zag turns, Lombard Street claims to be the most crooked street in the world. Light a blunt and take a stroll you will remember for years to come.

3) Chinatown
You’ll DEFINITELY get a kick out of this place. San Francisco’s Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in all of North America. It also has the largest Chinese community, outside of Asia. The restaurants in SF’s Chinatown are known to be the origin of “Westernized” Chinese cuisine, such as Chop Suey and Dim Sum. Some of the best flavors of the Chinese culture have gained popularity and acceptance in San Francisco.

4) Alcatraz Island
If you’re looking for a unique stance on sightseeing, take a boat ride to Alcatraz Island and enjoy a self guided audio tour of one most famous and widely recognized prisons. Alcatraz is much more than “just” a prison, featuring amazing views, gardens and bird watching while guests learn about the interesting history of the island. There’s also a ferry cruise option, which gives visitors an exclusive perspective of the island.

5) Cable Car
San Francisco’s Cable Car System is the world’s largest manually operated cable car system and is yet another famous attraction that makes San Francisco distinctive from all the other big cities of the world. These old fashion cable cars were first established in 1873 and of the 23 original cable cars, 3 still remain in operation. Two of them are located downtown, near Union Square, taking you to Fisherman’s Wharf and the 3rd is located on California Street. Daily, 20,000 people or so take a ride on the cable cars, making for an interesting way to experience the various sites to see throughout the city.
