Where Does Earth Have “Ideal” Cannabis Law?
Can we find some DECENT pot laws on this planet!?
Even if we HAD the funds to relocate, is it possible to find TRUE protection & TRUE freedom SOMEWHERE on Earth? Are we REALLY asking for to much to have a access to nature without getting “smacked” around?
What’s weird is the idea of ASKING for freedom, it just sounds silly! Because it’s pretty obvious, to anyone paying a bit of attention, what’s going on. It may actually be TOO much to ask our chosen democratic leaders to legalize cannabis. All we want is protection from ACTUAL bad people who could rob or hurt us. We don’t ask to grow a tomato plant, just like we should NOT have to ask (or worry about) growing a pot plant. And now, the people who are robbing and hurting us, are the people we elected to defend and protect us.
Whatever the truth may be, the fact of the matter is that it is absolutely RIDICULOUS to criminalize a plant that hasn’t hurt anyone. The truth HAS to be that there MUST be some super AMAZING properties in this plant, those in power, don’t want the masses having. If the masses did learn how to “use” the power of the plant, would the entire world wake up and realize that WE THE PEOPLE don’t need evil overlords hovering over our every actions?
In an ideal world, where we all feel good and have everyone’s best interest in mind, there might be hope. As humanity moves into a new age of awakening and access to information, it’s becoming harder and harder to control the truth.
We the common people of Planet Earth simply want freedom to choose and protection to make that choice. And that natural question is, where can we find a safe and legal place on Earth to be free and be protected?
Let’s take a peek at some of the places on Earth where TRUTH & JUSTICE are taking its ideal shape.
1)
Jamaica
Quite Possibly The Mecca Of Marijuana
- Possession: Decriminalized
- Sale: Illegal
- Transport: Illegal
- Cultivation: Legal
A few years ago, in the beginning of 2015, Jamaican law decriminalized possession of up to two ounces of weed. Also allowing the average citizen to grow up to five plants for your own personal useage. Regulations are also put in place for you to cultivate and distribute cannabis for medical, religious and for natural growth purposes.
2)
Uruguay
The Government Grows & Sells Weed For $1 Per Gram
- Possession: Legal
- Sale: Legal
- Transport: Legal
- Cultivation: Legal
First nation in the world to OUTRIGHT legalize cannabis. The only issue with $1 grams of weed is that ALL of your legal weed comes from the government. Would you trust government grown weed?
3)
Chile
Legal To Grow Small Amounts For Medical, Recreational Or Spiritual Purposes
- Possession: Decriminalized
- Sale: Medical
- Transport: Medical
- Cultivation: Legal
In 2005, Chile Law formally decriminalized private and personal cannabis usage. Which led to 2014 allowing medical cultivation, with proper consent from Chilean Agriculture Service (SAG). And in 2016, a regulation bill passed, allowing Chileans to grow small amounts for medical, recreational or spiritual use.
4)
United States Of America
Home Of The Most Diverse & Randomly Enforced Cannabis Laws
- Possession: Decriminalized
- Sale: Medical
- Transport: Medical
- Cultivation: Legal
USA begins with having 18 states who have decriminalized cannabis, 25 states and guam who’ve legalized for medical purposes, 8 states & Washington D.C. full on recreational legalization, and all Indian reservations are allowed to regulate cannabis laws.
The United States quite possibly has the most interesting laws overlapping what is appropriately enforceable. Even though there is legalization at the state level, laws at the higher federal level conflict and override lower state laws. Thus causing internal CONFLICT.
5) Mexico
Legalized April 2017!
- Possession: Medical, Scientific & Decriminalized For Personal Use
- Sale: Illegal
- Transport: Illegal
- Cultivation: Medical, Science & Decriminalized For Personal Use
Very recently, Mexico jumped on board higher levels of cannabis legalization. It wasn’t until 2009 that Mexico decriminalized personal use, up to five gram. With current Supreme Court laws, ruling 4-1, stating that it was unconstitutional to prohibit people from growing cannabis for consumption. They go on to say that it violates the human right to the free development of one’s personality. [1]
6)
Netherlands
Amsterdam. What More Needs To Be Said?
- Possession: Decriminalized 5g, for public use and for use in coffee shops
- Sale: Decriminalized in coffee shops
- Transport: Illegal (unenforced for coffeeshops, but enforced for growers who distribute to coffee shops)
- Cultivation: Illegal (decriminalized up to 5 plants)
Cannabis decriminalization for personal possession has been in place for over 40 years in Amsterdam and surrounding country. Even since 1976, cannabis has essentially been legal. However, you can only purchase products freely and openly in a few certain local coffee shops.
7) India
Basically Legal. Widespread & Rarely Enforced
- Possession: Federally illegal (legal or tolerated in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha & the North East)
- Sale: Federally illegal (legal or tolerated in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha & the North East)
- Transport: Federally illegal (legal or tolerated in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha & the North East)
- Cultivation: Federally illegal (legal or tolerated in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha & the North East)
Even though cannabis is illegal, the Indian government owns and sells cannabis in holy cities, such as Varanasi, known as bhang. Cannabis is rarely enforced, even with the widespread use and prevalence. Recently in 2016, a Bill was scheduled to call for the legalisation of cannabis.
8) South Africa
Rule Unconstitutional To Prohibit Private Cultivation & Use
- Possession: Legal
- Sale: Illegal
- Transport: Illegal
- Cultivation: Legal
In the early 1900, South Africa made cannabis illegal about the same time everywhere else was becoming illegal. Recently in 2017, they declared prohibition against private cultivation and use of cannabis unconstitutional and invalid.
9) Spain
The New Amsterdam Is Here!
- Possession: Legal (Private, not public)
- Sale: Technically Illegal (Purchase at private clubs)
- Transport: Decriminalized
- Cultivation: Legal (only for personal consumption)
Spain is being HAILED as the “New Amsterdam” as access and legality increases. Although it’s still technically illegal to sell cannabis, you’re still able to access it from one of the 500+ cannabis clubs.
10) North Korea (UnOfficial)
Cannabis Grows Wild & Free!
This isn’t official. However, reports over the years have leaked bits of information suggesting that cannabis is growing wild & free. On the other extreme end of WHY this might be, could be that they don’t have resources to control cannabis. Essentially, ANYTHING we hear about North Korea should be taken with a grain of salt.
