2) Haight & Ashbury

Take a quick hike up the pedestrian path, leading up to Hawk Hill, a lookout point giving you a great view of the surrounding cities. Also home to a number of beaches you can access by car and hiking, at varying degrees of difficulty.
4) Pier 39

5) Union Square
A public plaza with lots of shopping, hotels, theaters, department stores, upscale boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, salons, and MUCH more. Nearby has several other attractions to indulge in.
